Helping Students Build Confidence in Maths with a Positive, Supportive Approach

Where mistakes are celebrated as learning opportunities, and confidence building and emotional well-being takes top priority.

Hi, I'm Lauren!

A full-time maths tutor offering engaging and effective maths lessons for students aged 10-16.

When we work together, you will have access to a positive learning environment where all types of learner are welcome and where there is a big emphasis on helping your child to build their confidence in maths.

"What sets Lauren apart is her ability to make maths accessible and enjoyable. Oliver described how her explanations 'made sense,' likening her teaching to a 'magic wand' that unravelled the confusion of numbers. She equipped him with the tools, strategies and encouragement needed to achieve his best possible grade. Beyond the tutoring, Lauren’s support boosted Oliver’s confidence, proving to him that with effort and guidance, anything is possible. Her commitment extended from their first session to results day, a testament to her professionalism and care.

To anyone struggling with maths, we would unequivocally recommend Lauren. Her results speak for themselves: guiding Oliver from a grade 2 to a grade 5 in under eight months is extraordinary. More than that, her passion, patience, and ability to connect with students make her a truly exceptional educator."

Watch your confidence grow and your academic results will follow!

Students come to me with the attitude “I can’t do maths” as they slowly disappear to the back of the classroom. The fear of putting their hand up even when they don’t understand results in a dramatic shut-down in their self-belief, which then naturally affects their academic results.

That’s why my fundamental aim always is to reverse this thought process through positive reinforcement and an individualised teaching approach so that students can begin to see their own capabilities and have the confidence to tackle problems they would often skip.

Your child will experience:

  • a calm, nurturing learning environment,
  • fun, enjoyable lessons tailored to the way your brain works- not a one size fits all approach!
  • a friendly, approachable and supportive mentorship.
